UFC Fight Night 108 Prop Betting Selections

Matt Schnell Wins in Round 3 (+3200)
Simply put, If this 125-pound scrap reaches the third stanza, I like Schnell’s chances of wrapping things up with a finish. So, at 32/1 (per Bet365), I can’t miss this play.

Scott Holtzman Wins in Round 3 (+1600)
I favor Holtzman to win this bout by way of TKO/KO or Submission, and I see the stoppage coming in either round two or three. I think it ends in the third, more often than it does in the second. That said, the round 2 prop (+450, currently), may hold some value, as well, so if you can find a good number on that, consider playing both.

Stevie Ray Wins in Round 3 (+2500)
Joe Lauzon is defintely a tough match-up for Stevie Ray, but if the Scottish fighter manages to weather the early storm, the chances of him getting a stoppage late in the fight could rise greatly. So, at 25/1, this is another prop I can’t ignore.

John Dodson/Eddie Wineland Over (2.5Rds @ +230)
Unless I’m missing some inside information, I truly believe the Over 2.5 rounds for this bantamweight contest holds good value. The only result that could prevent this from happening, is Dodson finishing Wineland after some fast combination of punches. That said, I still think Wineland is tough enough to make this a striking battle for 15 minutes.

Ovince St. Preux Wins via Submission (+450)
I believe there is solid value in this line, as I see it as a realistic outcome to this contest, if the fight hits the mat. OSP has the better ground game, and can very well secure a Rear Naked Choke or a Guillotine Choke in an scramble. At +450, there is still some value left on this prop (which opened at +800). Obviously, sharp money had the same thoughts that I did on this fight.

Diego Sanchez Wins via Decision (+600)
People are expecting Iaquinta to run through Sanchez, and possibly finish him, but I think even if he loses, Sanchez will manage to make it look very close. In fact, I think Sanchez has a very good chance of spoiling the return of Iaquinta and walk away with the judges’ nod. So, at +600, there is definitely nice value on this play.
