I’ve seen several Calderwood fights, and the main thing I’ve noticed is how easily she folds to pressure. Andrade is basically all about applying forward pressure, so I definitely like her in this fight. On the feet, Calderwood is slightly better technique-wise, but she needs distance to work her jab & set up her strikes, and I don’t believe she can keep Andrade off her for long enough to be successful. As for the grappling department, Andrade, being the shorter girl, with a lower center of gravity, will be hard to take down. Also, if they do go to the ground, Andrade probably winds up on top with her slick transition game. I lean to an Andrade decision, but a TKO is also very possible.
Magalhaes is a dangerous dude. I definitely see value on this line, as I truly believe this should be around even money. “Hellboy” has the power to knock out Tavares, and can also win a decision, if he’s on the top of his game, like he should be, Saturday night in Cleveland. If he is to lose this fight, it’s most likely because he got tired & gassed before the end of round 2, and Tavares ended up stealing the round & the whole fight. All things considered, I like Magalhaes at this generous price, and I’m confident it cashes for everyone!
